Jose Robles was just 12-years-old when his mother gave him and his two brothers $20 and told them she was leaving. They never saw her again.

The Robles brothers’ dad was in jail and child services separated the brothers and put them in foster care. It was then Jose vowed to reunite his brothers and live together as a family in their own house.

He worked hard and took up odd jobs right from the 8th grade. He became the assistant branch manager at the Lemon Grove Library in San Diego and finally managed to buy a place of his own. The house needed a lot of repairs and that was when Diane Cox, of Just In Time, came into the picture. The organization helps foster kids and she spread the word about the house. Soon help started pouring in and the house was ready in no time. The three brothers now have a place to call their own. Watch and share.
